Re: heart problem?

Patrick,

Get yourself to a doctor..fainting after exercise could be a sign of something serious including a heart-related problem or it could indicate that your blood pressure plunged precipitously for some reason. You can buy a home blood pressure monitor in most chemists (I say chemist and not "drug store" because I presume the uk after your name means you are in England?)...but these are to be used only at rest. There are ambulatory blood pressure monitoring machines but the only way to get one of these hooked up is through a doctor.

Please don't self-diagnose...the sensations you are experiencing in your chest may be harmless palpitations or an abnormal heart rhythm that may or may not be serious...And that, coupled with the fainting means you really should be checked out by a professional.

Re: heart problem?

Patrick,

You indicated "after gym". I would like to add that there is a normal drop in blood pressure that occurs after exercise. This may be related to what you are experiencing. However, since this is causing "fainting" and other symptoms, you need to take zuzu's excellent advice and see your doctor.

Re: heart problem?

i should add that im only 28.so maybe its not such a serious problem?
also for years ive had mysterious balance, slight dizzyness problems along with neck discomfort.which get a lot worse during a hot shower aimed specificly to my head and neck.could this be low blood pressure?
cheers for the replies lads
