I don't know why, but my diastolic is still high 70s and also 80s most of the time I check. I admit, I am definitley axious about this, but I've been anxious with my BP for the past year and my diastolic very rarely went in the 80s... now I see it all the time... it's scaring the hell out of me... what's causing it? Should I go to the doctor?

EDIT: BTW, I forgot to mention that I do indeed see normal diastolic readings, but doesn't seem like I get them very often.

So, I've got myself pretty calm and my diastolic is usually hitting 70-75.... then for some reason I had this shot of fear while the cuff was inflating and it was then 83 (systolic was pretty much the same as before).

83... I NEVER seen 83 about a week ago!!!

Uhh... I just took a bunch of readings like 5-10 min apart and they're all 60s a few low 70s and even high 50s.

I have no idea what my blood pressure is doing latley... could it be anxiety?

B/P changes during the day. Track it & you know what your average is. Don't stress. Anxiety does play a role. Trust me.

If I get highish readings then all the sudden get normal readings, doesn't that mean it's anxiety that's rasing it?

Well, I am pretty sure it's anxiety. Does anyone know why anxiety would be effecting my diastolic more than it used to be?

I'm noticing my systolic isn't as reactive to anxiety anymore. It will usually go to 130s during a very stressful time and otherwise it will be <120 and low 120s (even when kinda nervous). So it's like the diastolic decided to trade places with systolic and be the one who throws a fit when I get anxious... heh
