| Question about taking blood pressure with manual machines
When I take my blood pressure with a manual (nonmercury) walgreens machine for home use, I have trouble detecting the systolic number. My heart rate is usually pretty low, so I have to deflate really slowly. When I measure with my right arm, I start hearing some beats around 150 but then they disseappear (even when I don't deflate). The beats resume softly at about 130 and increase in loudness until about 80 something. (On my left arm, I just start hearing beats about 130). On my right arm, is my systolic 130 or 150?
Thanks for any response.
