I'm hanging in there...The unmedicated average for the the last 2 days (8 readings total) was 138.9/82.5. I am having SOME but little success at salt control. I like hot soups in the winter and I have a ZILLION cans of Progresso soups in the larder. These suckers all come in at nearly 2 grams of salt per serving (whole can for me)...
I KNOW I could cook everything from scratch, but life is too short. I do what I can: I won't throw out the larder but I'm shopping with an eye toward lower salt items.
I'll continue to squeeze my weight down milligram by milligram!
No need to do anything rapidly or drastically; I'm looking for lifetime control here, not just for a couple weeks!
Sorry to hear that your cave roof came doown on you, Lisa. Maybe you can try, try again. Remember, it's not good BP at the doctor's office that should concern us; it's the BP in a recliner in front of the tube!
