Low blood pressure-low heart rate-heart flutters - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

My doctor mentioned that my blood pressure was low a few months ago.He was not concerned.I also mentioned that I was having heart flutters.He was convinced it was sugar or caffeine related.Well this past Monday I had hand surgery and the nurse was very concerned because not only did I have low blood pressure, but have a low heart rate as well.I am really worried now.I am in the process of scheduling a doctors appointment.Any ideas?Thanks.

Have you been checked for hypothyroidism? That can often lead to low heart rates & low BP.

Getting a check up is a good idea to make sure there is nothing wrong. If you are female and over 35, the heart flutters might be perimenopause. Check out the menopause board.
