The last visit to the doctor he gave me some Benicar to try (about 2 months worth). Do you think the switch to this med from Accupril is going to have an adverse effect?

I think you will be plesantly surprised. It gives much better control than Accupril. I run for exercise. Accupril slowed me down. I can't even tell I am taking Benicar except for the first two hours. I just ran a half marathon this weekend.
