LOw blood pressure

I am new to this boards .i bought myself a wrist blood pressure monitor but am not very sure if i have lbp .here are a few of my readings 102/54,101/55,98/60 and106/62 thanks for any help. i do have dizzy/lightheaded feelings .blonco33

That's pretty low but not extraordinary and probably pretty healthy...IF it's not causing wooziness.

First thing I'd do is check that monitor against an upper arm variety (or two!) Wrist monitors aren't the best types of BP testers.

Definately buy an arm monitor.

If you feel sluggish or dizzy often, you may not have enough iron in your blood. Many people in my family who have had low blood pressure problems have also concurrently suffered from anemia. Following an increase in iron intake, their blood pressure rose and they stopped feeling dizzy.

However, make sure you actually are iron deficient before increasing iron intake as many foods nowadays tend to exaggerate the iron.
(i.e. talk to a doctor first)

If you feel dizzy only when you stand up after sitting for or lying down for a while, then it is probably not something to worry about, unless you have
a tendency to faint after standing.
