They say Wine is good for the BP....

Ok, I know Red Wine...I'm not much of a wine connoisseur so what's a great tasting wine and one I can have a glass of everyday that won't make me I just want to be

For the price/taste ratio I recommend Carlo Rossi PAESANO. It is a BARGAIN in a 4 Liter size at less than $10. I've had wines that cost 10 times as much that didn't taste so good.

To USE big bottles like that I've devised a technique to make it last for a couple weeks instead of a couple days!

If I'm speaking to Melinda Gates however, then I recommend CHATEAU HAUT BRION 1961...about 2 grand a bottle! It's REALLY good!

Re: They say Wine is good for the BP....

Girlofsteel,

I'd say stay away from wines with sulfites. I prefer my own wine since we make our own without that junk however, all the research that I have found suggests that it's quite rare to find in stores. Sulfites are generally added in higher doses to white wines, because red wines have more natural preservatives. But even in white wines the amount of sulfites is generally kept quite low. Sulfites also occur naturally in other products. You really want a wine that has no sulfites added but as I said very hard to find. If you have a wine specialty store near you then ask the wine expert who works there..or you can get my dad's & Lenin's favorite a huge bottle of Paissano..Lisa

Don't forget a cheap bottle of "two buck chuck" aka Charles Shaw cabernet for $1.99 (assuming you have access to a Trader Joe's). For the price, hard to beat! If you're not familiar with it, don't let the price detract you it actualy tastes quite good IMHO
