Higher systolic, lower diastolic, should i be worried?

I recently within 2 weeks started on CPAP for sleep apnea, im 28 and 200lbs, with big tonsils lol.

Anyways, i have been treated for hpb for years, i currently take lotrel 5/20 1x and atenolol 50mg 2x a day.

I took my bp twice today, once it was 126/68 and another was 146/72 (had some bad food lol).

Ive never seen my diastolic that low, and am wondering if i should be concerned? I even forgot to take my usual atenolol this afternoon. is the diastolic too low?

Adam,

Your diastolic is great! Not to worry.

My bp was 84/61 the other day and I felt fine so don't worry.

The older you get the lower your diastolic often tends to go. (I wonder why?)

edit: Lordy I re-read my post. I said DIASTOLIC goes up with age and meant DIASTOLIC...My bad. I changed it to read correctly. SYSTOLIC goes up as arteries stiffen; diastolic goes down. Weaker heartbeats maybe???
