| Why is my BP much lower in am?
Hi all,
I have had HBP for 4 years now. I was put on atenlol 50mg/day and that seemed to work up until a few months ago. My BP was not getting any lower then 150/100 with atenlol.
My cardiologist now started me on Norvasc 5mg/day and it is getting lower and better but still not where it is, so he increased to 10mg/day
I am not getting any bad side effects which is good.
What I have been noticing becuase I monitor my BP with a portable omrom machine. That my BP is always very low in the mornings up until around 12 noon.
In the mornings it is 110/70 or roughly give or take..then after noon it goes to 130 / 84...and then in evenings 140 / 90
I told that to my dr and he was not sure why, he said depends what i am doing at the moment.
For the most part I am doing the same nothing really different but working behind my desk.
I have always heard that supposedly you have better chance of getting a stroke/heart attack in AM, becuase BP is usually higher...maybe that not true.
Any ideas to get my BP to stay same whole day? thx
