teenage female bp - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

Hi all. Can anyone tell me what a "normal average" female teenage bp should be. My daughter is on Florinef for low bp, yesterday at a doc appt her bp was 104/54 and the doc didnt seam concerned. To me that seams low, she is real pale and really tired again. I really dont know what to do about this anymore. Any help would be great.

healthy average is 12, 10.5 is still okay though it's on the low side. 8-9 is where the blackouts start and when presumably medication is given...

I don't think that should be too low. I found a website that says normal teenage pulse rate ranges from 70 - 100 and blood pressure from 88/45 to 130/85.

Is your daughter underweight? Does she eat healthy meals? Does she get enough sleep? (Teenagers need more sleep than adults, like 8 or 9 hours.) Is she anemic? Any of these things could make a child tired and pale.

Thanks for the replys. My daughter does eat well. Sleep is a problem sometimes, she does have other medical issues that we are addressing. She is also going though a bout of deppression right now. At least now I know that her bp is in a "normal" range for now.

How old is your daughter? Seems to me, pale, tired and "depressed" is a normal teen aged girl! LOL! (mine is 17 and is like that!) I have a friend who's son was 70/34 and he was getting dizzy (and still playing soccer!) So your daughter's blood pressure is fine. My friend's doctor has him on heavy salt intake. Are you doing that too?
