| Re: Fatigue w/BP meds
Las,
I wanted to quit caffeine. I am only 34, 5' 11" 152 or so. I used to have a lot more energy. I am on 100 MGS of Atenolol (which I am starting to wean off of) & 5/20 of Lotrel, as well as 2 MGS of Xanax a day. I want to be off of BP Meds. by September. I start my day with 1-2 cups of coffee. I also have a cup of coffee & regular Coke or Pepsi after lunch. I still tired much earlier. I cannot drink alcohol really on the meds. I feel much worse than ever. I just don't drink. I know that they say to quit caffeine, but if I did that I would feel like a zombie and fall asleep at a job where I have to be alert at all times. My B/P has been running 108-110 over 61-65 a lot lately with a pulse of 53. I am over-medicated. My HBP comes from anxiety. I know it. I hate feeling exhausted at 11:00 P.M. on the weekends. I am in a national band as well and I can't feel like I am 94. I never felt like this before the meds. My average B/P would be 134/74 or so before the meds. I just had a panic attack when I went to the doc. for the 1st time in 10 years and it was really high like 190/80. It hasn't gone over 135/75 in almost 2 1/2 years...... I hear you. Without caffeine I would fall asleep at 2 P.M. at my job.
