| Blood pressure after surgery
I had the gastric lapband done to lose weight. This surgery was done 9 days ago. When I had the surgery the dr. found out I also had a hiatal hernia,so he fixed that. My lungs also started to deflate so I did have a little problem with my breathing. I was on oxygen the rest of that day and night and went home at lunch the next day. I have still had some shortness of breath when I got home, not as bad now. I had high blood pressure before I went in the hospital, I took lotrel, and HCTZ. I was told to dissolve them in water. I am on a liquid diet for three weeks. I can have water, protein drinks, jello, soup, things in that nature, but no caffine. My blood pressure is higher now than when I had this done. It is running like 140/102 or 130/96-98. The lowest is when I first get up in morning 130/90. What could be causing this? Any ideas?
