Anyone experienced with the combo of Lisinopril and thiazide?
Greetings,

Recently I went back on Lisinopril. My Doctor wanted me to take it in addition to the hydrochlorothiazde. Well, I am taking 2.5 mg of lisinopril, and after a few days my readings have dropped from 160/90 to 140/75. Is there something about this combo that really kicks in, or am I just extra sensitive to the lisinopril? The thiazide alone wasn't doing anything.

Also, has anyone here ever adjusted to their BP being lower? I find myself dragging and tired, dizzy, etc. with a "normal" reading. Does this disappear in time?

Brenden,

The combination is a particulary good one and I'd try it myself but for THE COUGH! I hope it doesn't sneak up on you.

I think you'll soon get useed to the BP drop...as long as you don't go SUPER low. Usually ACE Inhibitors don't make you tired but it does happen.

That combo is working good for me. For the first time in a couple of years I have consistant normal BP without any side effects. I feel less tired than when I was on ARB + diuretic. I don't even feel bad with BP of 109/68
I take Altace though not lisinipril.
