Re: Think I may put myself back on BP meds

Well, I finally got some night time BP readings without being startled awake. My BP was 130/64 about 2:30 AM, 133/63 about 4:30 AM, and 142/75 when I woke up at 6:40. Since all my daytime readings yesterday ranged from 121/68 to 129/73, I'm not happy with the higher night time readings. Normal is for BP to go down about 10 points systolic at night. At least the readings were not in the hypertensive range. From what I've read, the highest resting reading is often first thing in the morning, so that one doesn't surprise me. Guess we need a higher BP to wake us up and get us ready for the day.
