Question Home BP Machines

Hi everyone. I have an ormon BP machine and am wondering when you use it I know you sit straight and feet flat on the floor but do you keep your arm rested down on the table or do you raise your arm with elbow on table? My little booklet just says to make sure cuff is 1 inch above elbow. I've noticed different readings depending where I put my arm so wondering how other people use theirs.....thanks

Re: Home BP Machines

I also have an Omron 712C machine and when I take my blood pressure I sit for 5 minutes and I have my feet flat on the floor with my back supported in a chair and I make sure my arm is resting level with my heart with palm facing up.
