Blood Pressure out of Whack!
Back in December I blacked out in my bathroom. My 13 year old daughter found me on the floor convulsing and I quit breathing momentarily. She immediately called my ex husband(which lives 3 blocks away) He said he could hear me screaming from downstairs. He stated that it seemed like I was in extreme pain.He called 911 and the ambulance came to get me.While the paramedics were here to get me,I stopped breathing again.I regularly have low blood pressure. When I got to the hospital the attending physician stated my blood pressure was through the roof.I have no memory of any of these events until after being at the hospital for approx. 10 mins.Once they got me into a room at the hospital the nurse was taking my vitals and once again I stopped breathing.Did several tests to come back as low potassium to be the result.I went on a high potassium diet and nothing changed.
Since December I have passed out 6 times.I had an episode about 6 weeks ago.Not hospitalized.I had learned to deal with these episodes.Or so I thought.I went to the doctor 6 weeks ago and finally demanded that something be done.My doctor sent me for several blood tests. He tested for epilepsy.I had an EEG,EKG,went for 3 cat scans.all to come back that everything is normal. 4 weeks ago I unfortunately passed out while at work, the good thing was that I was wearing a heart monitor at the time. Again the paramedics came and they ran a battery of tests in the hospital to come back all normal. The one thing I did notice while in the hospital is my blood pressure being all over the place. The nurses were taking my blood pressure every 15 mins and it would flucuate so much, to the point where one reading would be 52/45 and the next reading 15 min later was 124/82.I have been seeing my doctor every week for the last 5 weeks, and every test we do seems to come to a dead end.Last week he tested me for Addisons disease.I will get the results when I go back to see him Tuesday. He has put me on Florinef for the time being to regulate my blood pressure.I have been on prozac since January to treat depression.Which apparently is another symptom of Addisons.I dont feel that it is Addisons, but at this point the specialists are at a loss with why these things are happening to me. Any replies would be appreciated.
