roberk Newbie (female) Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 2	Atenolol vs Captopril Hello, I have been on captopril for 2 years for hbp. At my last yearly exam, my pressure was high again (168/88). My Dr. put me on Atenolol. I don't understand why the captopril suddenly stopped working for me after 2 years. Also, does it take a while for the Atenolol for start working? I won't have my pressure checked again for 2 weeks. I do feel better today (second day), no headache or that "weird" hbp feeling... any experiences to share? I am F, age 48.
