What should I tell this new Doc I want to be put on? I can't take Cozaar,Hyzaar, nor can I take those darn beta blockers since I am a workout horse? What is good? ..I'm on Diovan HCt now i don't think it's doing good anymore. thanks, Lisa
Have you tried Benicar? It seems to be a little stronger than Diovan and it doesn't have side effects (not for me anyway). It comes with and without HCTZ.

My Dr. presribed benicar and my insurance told me it wasn't on their formulary. My co-pay would have been really expensive. They recommended Avalide and diovan. So we are trying the Diovan I've only been on it a week.. I'm sorry to hear you don't think the Diovan is still working for you. When did you start to notice it wasn't helping? Thanks Bonib. I don't think it has been working all that well since last year but i like the fact that it had the least amount of side effects than any of the others i tried. I will ask tomorrow about Avalide..I will let you know..Take Care, Lisa
