| Re: Are these resting #'s good ???
You know, I wonder what would happen if you try a little experiment. Try taking your blood pressure at home after work, then try doing a couple of minutes of deep breathing exercises and test your BP again. Try this several times, as you might not get the same results. When my systolic is over 130, I can usually lover it by 10-20 points with just two minutes of deep breathing. And I can often lower it by ten points or so just by taking two deep breaths! My thinking is that if you can train yourself to lower your BP with just a couple of deep breaths, this is something you could do at work when you get stressed and no one would even be aware of what you are doing. You could also do it while driving; there certainly are stressful situations which can occur there.
Though your numbers aren't bad, if your SBP is up over 140 all day at work and not just from the drive home, it certainly isn't good. If your work is stressful, your BP could be up even higher there.
