cardizem SR 90mg twice daily, side effects

Hello,

I have started cardizem SR 90mg twice daily 2 days ago and I feel that it's better than the other Meds I have used before:Norvasc, Zebeta, Cozaar and Atacand. But I feel a little fatigue and a little weakness, of course not compared to the fatigue I had when I was on Atacand and Cozaar.

So do you think that because it's dilating blood vessels I have those side effects? maybe it will go away after my body get used to the dilating process?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: cardizem SR 90mg twice daily

I'm still a little fatigue but so far so good . I noticed that when I drink beer, while i'm on the med, I feel very dizzy. I don't know how that happens.
Thanks,
Michael

Dizziness and tiredness are side effects of your drug. If they don't go away you could try something else.

Hello Wiredqs,

So far so good but I'm a little worry because I have read that it causes metal disorder which I don't know what it's exactly.
Thanks,
Michael

Your tolerance to alcohol will be less: It'll be a lot easier to get drunk. A couple of
beers or glasses of wine will give you a very pronounced buzz (that's the dizziness).
More than a single beer or glass of wine will also reduce the effectiveness of the
ccb in controlling your bp. At least all that is my experience.
