How much did Toprol lower your heart rate and BP? - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

I have taken Toprol XL 5o mg. daily since I was diagnosed with HBP and a fast heart rate app 2 years ago. I really think that anxiety and hormones may have had alot to do with the increases in both. I really want to get off the beta blocker and wonder if it is making that much of a difference in my heart rate.

How much has Toprol changed your BP and heart rate ?

Hi, I was just given toporol along with my other meds (Lisinopril 20mg & clonidine .01). With the addition of toporol I haven't noticed a difference in my heart rate. I'm usually in the 70's to 80s with all these meds. The toporol hasn't brought my bp down yet. I'm not sure if it takes a while to take effect. I'll let you know in about a week.
