My husband took 40mg of Benicar for awhile. It made him extremely tired. He was put on this by a cardiologist who ran several test on him. Everything checked out okay, just high blood pressure. Anyway, our regular doctor took him off of it because of the fatigue. He said they hardly prescribed this because of this side effect.
I have a problem too with ARBs and ACEs. I have tried Cozaar and Atacand, both are ARBs like Benicar. I got extremely tired and dizzy while I'm on ARBs or ACEs . I really liked Cardiazim because I have no side effects at all (as far as I see).

Hi Michael,
I can't recall how long, but it was several months. When the cardiologist prescribed them he did say something to the effect that I'm telling you to exercise and I'm giving you something that will make you not want to. And my husband was very, very, tired while on Benicar.
. I really liked Cardiazim because I have no side effects at all (as far as I see).
