Flowergirl,
As far as side effects go, anything is possible. Side effects get worse, get better, come and go, and only happen on one side and not the other...who knows why?
Based on your observation that these symptoms started about the same time as you started your meds, it's very likely that these are side effects. Did you check your drug sheets to see if your symptoms are listed? The symptoms may or may not be on your drug sheet and your Dr may give you the run around (I've had a similar experience) but if the symptoms are uacceptable to you, you have the right to insist on different meds. I don't know what the half life is of the drugs you are taking, but I've found that it only took a missed dose or two for my symptoms to ease up or disappear. My symptoms almost always disappeared completely within a couple of weeks after disco'ing. I'm not telling you to miss a dose--but instead to work with your bp doctor first to rule out meds because it should be the first step of identifying the problem.

PS Sometimes, given the stress of being in the doctor's office I'm not as assertive as I would like to be...I often get better results by calling my doctors' office from my home to "request" changes.
