| Ginger - too good to be true?
Hello,
While checking out the supplements in Walmart today I ran into a fellow I know who has had high BP for some time. He told me he had accidentally discovered a way to keep his blood pressure perfect.
(He is on 2 BP meds, don't know which ones. His BP readings tended to be on the high side). Apparently, he eats ginger every day. The candied kind that's sold in supermarkets in the bulk food section. He says he eats 4-5 pieces or more every day, because he likes it. The reduction in BP is an added benefit.
His doctor did not believe him, he says, nor did anyone else.
Is this possible? I don't know much about ginger, but I did see a ginger supplement on the shelf so it must have some healing properties. Is there a known connection between ginger root and lower blood pressure?
Thank you
