Folks, I have noticed that on some occasions the automatic Omron BP monitor I have starts inflating, then stops for a second or two, and then resumes at a normal rate. Any idea why this happens and what it means? Batteries are fresh BTW.
Just thought of something else. If you have cuff anxiety and your BP starts going up while the cuff is inflating, it may have been ready to stop and your BP went up so it needed to inflate more. Make any sense??
Yeah, just keep it and see what happens next time. Anytime there's a good reading you surely don't want to throw it out . Now if you never get another reading like it, then it obviously was a malfunction, but let's not go there .
