Hi,
Never go by what the tech says. They are not supposed to tell the patients anything. (That does not stop us from asking them questions, does it?

)
Do not get yourself worked up over nothing! Ask for a copy of the report when it's ready. Any unusual findings, if present, will be listed there. Echo measures the wall thickness, systolic and left ventricular diastolic function, chamber sizes, pulmonary arterial pressure, EF, and also checks the valve function. I don't know what you mean about the heart's location not being right. Maybe you meant the size? This test should detect any left ventricular hypertrophy (enlargement/thickening) or cardiomyopathy from hypertension, CAD or other causes. If you had a Doppler echo, then your arterial blood flow was also checked. Any questions about the results can be posted on the heart board. Good luck!
