Norvasc side effects - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

My doctor precribed Norvasc for my BP recently (3-4 wks ago). I have not, so far, experienced any of its more common side effects. However, I have been suffering from vaginal yeast infection in the last couple of days. I cannot think of anything that has changed in my life to have caused this. The only change I can think of is Norvasc. Does anyone know if Norvasc causes vaginal yeast infection as a possible side effect in women?

I have been taking Norvasc for 2 1/2 years and no problem with yeast. I had always been the "yeast queen" for over 40 years.

There is a site that discusses problems many people have taking Norvasc. I have had no problems other than swollen ankles and losing weight and wearing compression hose seems to take care of that. Norvasc has been doing a good job along with a diuretic in controlling my BP in the normal range.
