I have been going to the gym 6 months. I started drinking protein drinks (Muscle Milk, Whey) and I was wondering if they caused your boold presssure to rise a little?
I took Amino Acids supplements, about 2,400mg a day, and it had no effects on my BP. I don't know about protien powder, I hope that someone else would give you more information about it.

Each serving (32 g) contains only 60mg of Sodium, which is fine. I'm talking about Optimum Whey Protien. Anyway, I think that you should compare your current BP readings to what you had before using the protien.

My doctor wants to look at the labels of the protein drinks I have used. I will see him next month. I have heard that too much protien can hurt your kidneys too.
