Blood pressure normal in the morning but goes up during day time - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

My blood pressure is always rock solid at 120/80 in the morning after i wake up and before i go to work. But it kinda of goes up when i check it in the after noon and evening,the readings range anywhere from 125-142 upper and 82-92 lower. Even at doctors offcie it showed 144/80, 145/90,155/85, My mother has high bp.I have this constant anxiety in me that i might have high bp, Even when measuring BP at home i get anxious and the first reading is always range in 140/90, But gradually the sebsequent readings go down to 120-130/80-90 ranges. Not sure how i should handle this cuff anxiety. My doctors is telling me to monitor at home twice a week. I always get anxious before measuring my bp thinking that BP will be more and it will be more the first time. As the cuff deflates i breathe heavily with anxiety and mostly the bottom number is more with ranges from 85 - 95.

I have been to ER before(6 mons back) slight chest pressure but all the tests came back normal, even the stress test came back unremarkable, All my blood tests are normal including cholestrol numbers are normal at that time

I had a surgery for fistula 3 mons back in india, i was very stressed out with pain and was on contant pain medication for 4 weeks.After surgery is when my bp started to show up as high, not sure if surgery has any impact on my bp.
Repeated the blood test after surgery all were normal except the TSH which is below normal at 0.025. T4 and T3 are normal, With doctors advice did thryoid ultrasound and nuclear scan but didnt detect any nodules but said slight enlargment of thryoid gland which is nothing to worry, doctors thinks it might be due the homeaopatic drugs i am using for my hemoroids and sugested to stop them and repeat the tsh blood tests after 6 weeks.
I also have this occasional palpitations and doc suggested to wear a 24 hr holter monitor, My question is would the holter monitor track BP too?
Does thyroid has any effect on my BP or do i have HBP?My heart rate is always at 60 to 80 range.

BTW i am 35 yrs old and work out atleast 4 to 5 days a week and eat very healty food.

The thyroid definately can elevate b/p either when there is too much thyroid hormone or too little (causes fluid retention which elevates b/p.) Normally, one's pulse would get into the 100's when one is hyperthyroid. You would have heart palpitations, diarrhea, get sweaty, & experience fatigue.

It is normal for one's b/p to go up at the Dr's office by at least 20 points systolic. After all you don't know what to expect & it can be frightening depending on your situation medically.

About two hours before your Dr's appointment avoid drinking large amounts of any kind of fluid especially caffeine types. Same goes for exercise. This usually helps decrease one's b/p. Be prepared with a list of your questions for the DR. & allow plenty of time to get to the office. Plan a special treat for after the appointment. Fam
