Re: how to keep your blood pressure down to pass a physical

We're not doctors but:

Maybe hawthorn, or cal/mag supplements, or garlic, or valerian and many others I can't think of right now. Just check at vitamin store. Perhaps eat some antioxidant foods before your test like strawberries or cantalope. Not eating beef, pork and sweets a few days before may help as well. Keep doing it though, don't just do it for the test. Good luck.

I read that drinking beet root juice a few hrs. before your Drs. appt. will lower your BP. I tried drinking it once and it's so sweet that it was nauseating. It comes in granules like what I bought or in capsules at the health food store. Hope you pass your physical!!!

Re: how to keep your blood pressure down to pass a physical

Deep breathing shortly before the blood pressure is taken. Breathe in slowly, hold for three seconds, out slowly. Repeat several times.

Basically, when you are calm and physically relaxed, your breathing slows. Slowing down your breathing tricks your body into being calm.

Of course, if you do have high blood pressure, lowering it for the test isn't going to solve it in the long run.
