High BP meds + Fastin - High & Low Blood Pressure Message Board

has anyone taken diet pills while on medication to treat hypertension? I talked to someone the other day who was on fastin and also on hypertension medication.

If our blood pressure is under control with medication, could we take a diet pill? I see my cario on friday. I am not going to ask him to write a rx for fastin but just curious what he would say. I am thinking there are people with Adult ADD and they take adderall and ritialin and those are 3 x worse than fastin. What do they do if they have hypertension as well (I am sure that has happened).

I'm taking phendimetrazine, which is similiar to Fastin. I have to go see the doctor every week to get my blood pressure taken. They are working well for me, I have lost 7.5 lbs since January 2. My blood pressure has remained in good control.

is that close to phentermine? I looked it up and I think it might be. All those are pretty much the same thing as fastin. When I talked to my cardio 2 weeks ago, he didnt seem to put off by the use of diet pills/fastin, but I didnt ask him if it would be would be something he would feel would be ok if I have my BP monitered while using it.

Yes, phendimetrazine is in the same classification as phentermine.

what meds are you on and how how is your BP without meds? I think this might make a difference if my cardio wil ok the use of fastin even if my BP is controlled. I am not overweight per se, but much heavier than I am used to and very uncomfortable.

My highest was after I gave birth which was 191/110, many things could have caused that but that makes me think that even with controlled BP, my cardio may still say he won't ok fastin because of my BP in the past.

my new average is 122/75. dips as low as 90/70 in the morings but goes up as the day goes on. Sometimes at night I can get 130/85
