I would put it down to the aforementioned stress. You are suffering from palpitations. Most of the time they are a harmless nuisance but sometimes they can indicate an underlying problem. I would advise a check-up, if only to put your mind at ease.
Do breathing exercises. I find them very helpful.
At the moment I am free from medication.
