effects of valium with hypertension

my neuro prescribed 5mg of valium for me to take whenever I get a severe bout of vertigo. I usually cut it on half only taking 2.5mg. Everytime I take the valium my bp the next morning is 90/60 without valium it's between 130/85 - 110/70. I was wondering if there was something else I could take like valium that might be good to add on a regualr basis for BP control.

Valium & most other anti-anxiety meds provide a zombie like state where you're not as alert and impairs your learning capabilities. /doc told me

If you're asking what else I could do to lower my blood pressure? Then the first step is to exercise & go on the DASH diet (lower your sodium intake).

There's tons of over the counter supplements out there that lowers Blood Pressure, but again we don't really know the side effects or how they might interact with our other meds. Some supplements work for others while others, it doesn't. Trial & Error basically.

CoQ10 as small as 60mg 2x a day, can lower BP up to 20/10 or even more in a couple of weeks/months. Celery seed extract can also lower BP but it depends on the individual. There were drastic drops for some and for others, barely anything. It works as a natural diuretic & and relaxes your blood vessals.
