Are these 2 drugs safe to take together?

I am taking clonidine for hot flushes I have also been perscribed cozaar losartan 100mg for high blood pressure. Is it safe to take these two drugs as they both lower blood pressure.

Re: Are these 2 drugs safe to take together?

to be honest, I hated it when I was on clonidine, that drug imo is one of the worst out there. it just fried my brain... like literally, i just felt my brain was on fire, could not sleep at all.

but if your doctor described them both to you, then I'd say its o.k.... a lot of people are different and have different conditions and what not, just keep track of any side effects to bring up next time you see your doc

Re: Are these 2 drugs safe to take together?

I would rather put up with hot flashes than clonidine. I've taken both drugs together. It was a disaster for me. Did nothing for my b/p.

You could read my old posts about both drugs if you wish. Clonidine was very difficult to get off of-causes rebound hypertension. You have to keep taking more & more because you get a tolerance to it. Also, it can raise your b/p instead of lowering it.
