Hi, I am Carolina, 30 years old, and I had low blood pressure all my life. On the las two weeks, my readings was 80/60, 110/92, 100/80 and last night was 98/78. Is not the first time that this happens to me, I was told years ago that is related with stress, but even taking an anti anxiety (that before helped), my blood pressure is going crazy. I am going to some stress and having anxiety problems, taking medication for it, but does not seem to work out so good...
Are you drinking enough fluid? What about salt? Drinking 16oz of any kind of fluid in a 15min period will raise your b/p 20 point systolic (top number for two hours.)
Check with your Dr. about drinking extra fluid & eating more salt in your food. Fam
Actually I drink about 1 quarter of water every night while I am in bed, and about 2 more quarters during the day, and everybody say that I eat waaayyy to salty... I am going to some rough times with family members, so, I believe that might be emotional, but don't know what to do... we want to have a baby, and my doctor keep giving me pills...
well... yesterday a headache started and got really ugly, I took a long bath, put some aromatherapy oils on the bath tube, stayed there for about one hour and a half, and after that my blood pressure is better, now I have 100/65. My normal is ussually 100/60 so... its ok... I am taking St. Johns wort and valerian for my anxiety, and they seem to be helping me more than xanax... slowly dropping off the xanax and going with the herbs... they work good... sleep like a baby with the valerian...
That's way too much water to be drinking especially if you are drinking other fluids like coffee, tea, & juice. You can dilute the minerals in your blood & end up with seizures. People have died from drinking too much fluid. Unless you are a very big person, you should limit your fluid to 8 (8oz) cups or glasses.
Best to check with the Dr. regarding the ideal fluid/salt intake for you.
Keep track of your salt intake so you can inform your Dr.-this will help him to evaluate your medical situation better. Fam
