I am 38 year old female. I have some odd symptoms that I think could be related to high blood pressure, but I'm not sure. As a mom of a 12, 15 and 1 1/2 year old I am the last to go to the doctor. My symptoms are: I can hear my pulse beating in my head, kind of sounds like a sonogram. This happens especially when I am laying down at night. I have headaces in the back lower part of my head and they gravitate to my neck shoulders and upper arms. I almost always wake up with one but it goes away quickly. I have some pressure in my head and neck. And not much energy, but that could be just being a mom. I am not over weight, but have gained about 6-7lbs recently. Thank you for your respnse.
Worth your while and peace of mind to just go ahead and have your bp checked. It's a simple test you can do yourself at most major drugstores, or just take the time to see your doctor. Why second guess yourself?
If you check your blood pressure at drugstores,be aware doctors warn they are not accurate. My husband was told he had high blood pressure, then we recommended the doctor check it right then and it was fine. So,apparently it fluctuates. He has high cholesterol and the test shows he has high LdL and low HdL.He is at risk of heart attack within the next ten years if he does not get these things under control with diet/excercise.IF that does not work,he will be on meds.I think you should go to your doctor and get a blood test to reveal whether you have high blood pressure or not, this can cause migraines and dizziness along with being tired quite often.Marillian Johnson firstname.lastname@example.org
