Does anyone know of a connection between menstruation, menstrual migraines and high blood pressure? My BP has always been 110-115/70 (througout pregnancies too). When my menstrual cycle resumed following the birth of my baby I began having menstrual migraines and high blood pressure. Had an Echo done earlier this month and everything looked fine. The BP is not elevated the rest of the month. Any ideas?

A lady I know swears she gets arthiritis a few days before her menstruation. Pain all over, specially in the joints. It happens almost every time. She had HBP and does not report any changes in pressure around the time. She checks on a daily basis.
She does have pain (arthiric) when she eats certain things.
PMS brings on all sorts of anxiety for some poor women, me being one of them. While I feel like this (anxious) my blood pressure does rise. Once it is all over I am back to normal. Hormones are very complicated and I beleive they effect you twice as much after birth!!
