| High Blood Pressure and Hormone Replacement
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience regarding high blood pressure and hormone replacement therapy? Specifically, I am wondering about atenolol and estrogen patches. I know it used to be thought that women with hypertension should not take estrogen, now the recommendation seems to be that estrogen may be taken by women with hypertension, patches as opposed to tablets, and that it may actually help to reduce high blood pressure, due to the effects estrogen has on the arteries. Does anyone have any expertise on this topic? Thanks!
