About a month ago, I started having these shooting pains that run from the temple area to the top of my head. They are short in duration, except for one that lingered just a little. They seem to occur more often when I'm justing sitting... again, except for once when I was exerting myself.
I went to the doctor and found that my blood pressure was up so I was started a higher dose of the medication I was already on at the time. The doctor said that the shooting pains could be caused by blood pressure spikes. I'm working to control the BP but am wondering if anyone else has experienced BP spikes that cause pains in your head?
By the way, the increased dosage didn't help and now I'm on a different medication but today was the first day so it's too early to tell. Also, my BP monitor should arrive Monday so I'll be tracking my BP for myself from now on!
Thanks for your responses in advance.
