My lips have been feeling tingly for the last week and last Wednesday which was November 14th and when I took my blood pressure it read 142/106 and so I called my doctor and he never returned my call and so I started feeling worse yesterday I felt even worse then last week and the reading was 159/129 and today it was 143/114. Does anyone think the tingling in my lips could because my BP was high?
I don't know about the tingling in your lips, but if you aren't on BP meds. and your dr. doesn't return your calls, I would find someone else. Those are high readings, so please call your dr. back or get someone to check it out. Good luck. JJ
I would also say find a new Doctor. Those readings are pretty high and you need a doc who will act fast to help you bring those sort of pressures down reasonably quickly.
Thank's for the responses on my posting, I went to my doctor today and he put me on some more BP medications along with my present medication, I was already taking Atendol 50mg and now he put me on Hyzaar 50mg along with my Atendol. He ask me when my BP started elvating and I explaned to him that I called him last Wednesday and the office girl said she would give him the message to return my call and she must of failed to give him that message( which doesn't suprise me at all) I believe that the office help is not the smarted women in the world. He also told me that my heart was racing. He wants me to come back next monday and have the nurses to retake my BP.
Well good luck and I hope everything goes ok. Glad to hear there was just a mixup with the dr. not getting the message. Maybe your other stuff just wasn't for you and the new stuff will work. Keep us posted as we do care. God bless and stay healthy!! JJ
Hi! I have a tingling in my lips also and during last 3 or so months have been seeing a neurologist for muscle spasms, twitching ,and numbness which includes my lips and very surprisingly my blood pressure on both occasions I saw him which was in Nov and then in Jan my pressure was 143/88 and in jan was 155/100 and he told me to see my primary dr about it which I haven't done yet but have been going to gym about 4 days a week since my blood pressure was up and I check it after and before excersing and it is usually about 144/84 or so once it was 165/74. A lot of time the first number is way high and second one is normal or below. Does this mean anything in particular? I used to have very low pressure so this is very new to me. High bp does run in my family my dad and his mother were both diagnosed in 30s and been on med ever since. But yeah it would be interesting to know if the lip tingling has anything to do with it.
