Sudden Increase in Diastolic
This may sound like a non-issue to some of you, but it is troubling me. I have been tracking my BP over the last year since I had surgery. Whenever my pressure is up, it has always been my systolic, and probably due to nerves to at least some extent.
I take a low dose of Atacand (ARB) and Coreg (Beta/Alpha blocker).
Anyway, over the last 4-5 days my diastolic, for the first time in over a year, is averaging about 12-15 points higher. In the past running high 60's low 70's (even when my systolic is up) to now 80's for a good part of the day. It has been dipping after meals, and steadily climbing after as I get more hungry...then dipping on the next meal. Anyone have an experience like that?
So, I'm having trouble figuring out what has changed to cause my diastolic to be running significantly higher...
