Here is my story. I am on Androgel for Low T.
Last week I go tot my doc and my BP was 140 over 90. Its normally about 120 over 80. I also take lexapro for anxiety disorder, which I stopped taking about a month ago because I was feeling so good on the Androgel. But my anxiety and panic has returned. So I get this news about my BP and I start to freak. He says we will check it again in a week. The next day I go to CVS and its much higher, and my heart is pounding. I RUN to his office in an almost panic attack and he the nurse took it 5 times in different arms and each time it was a totally different number. He did an EKG and it showed tachardia I had 3 espressos that day too.
So he tells me come back the next day, no coffee and we will repeat. Here were my reading in 3 different positions:
Lieing Down 142/76
I cheated a little and took a Klonopin about an hour before so I was nice and relaxed
This morning I go to CVS and put my arm in the cuff it reads BP 166/93 and pulse 60
I am 47 years old with no major health concerns.
When I was in my early 20s I had High BP 190/110 was put on tenormin for 5 years and then weaned off it. BP has always been normal since. I am a hypochondriac so I am at the Dr ALOT!
I am about 40 pounds overweight.
Its funny because about a month ago I was 120/70
What to do?
