18 with High Blood Pressure

A while back i had a urinary infection which caused me to have a blood pessure of 150/99. After the infection went away so did the high blood pressure. However later i got it again but this time the blood pressure wouldn't go down. My doctor did an ekg and an ultrasound of my heart and it came back normal. She also looked at my kidneys and everything came back normal. . My blood pressure would not go down. She said I must have had high blood pressure so she game me 12.5 mg bhp pills. However i later began having this chest pain where they did an x-ray and it came back normal After this pain I began to experience stomach pains in which i contanstantly have to burp to have relief. I have been getting soo dizzy and headaches along with my stomach problems, and my blood pressure continues to be high even though I take my pills everyday which causes dizziness that will not go away. She checked my thyroid and it was normal. I don't know why my blood pressure continues to be high even though I am taking medication.

Re: 18 with High Blood Pressure

are you feeling any better? Dizziness is a common side effect of BP meds. If they don't lower your BP I suggest Carditone, a powerful herb formula. It often works when meds don't, or can't tolerate side effects. Even if it works, meds and herbs do not fix the cause of the high BP so keep taking tests. The burping sounds like acid reflux or stomach problem (reduce sweets might help).

Re: 18 with High Blood Pressure

I'd have more tests done.

Have them check your sodium levels, potassium levels, your aldosterone levels, your renin levels, your cholesterol levels, your calcium levels...
If I can think of anymore I'll come back and add them to the list.

Also, seeing as how it was an infection that brought it on... I'd ask about the likelihood of you currently having residual E. Coli, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, virus, fungus or bacteria such as Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas or Enterobacter floating around in your system.

I say to ask about these because these are possible causes of a Urinary Infection and if the infection brought on your Hypertension, then who's to say it's not possible that they could still be in your system.

Plus it can't hurt to ask.
