I'd have more tests done.
Have them check your sodium levels, potassium levels, your aldosterone levels, your renin levels, your cholesterol levels, your calcium levels...
If I can think of anymore I'll come back and add them to the list.
Also, seeing as how it was an infection that brought it on... I'd ask about the likelihood of you currently having residual E. Coli, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, virus, fungus or bacteria such as Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas or Enterobacter floating around in your system.
I say to ask about these because these are possible causes of a Urinary Infection and if the infection brought on your Hypertension, then who's to say it's not possible that they could still be in your system.
Plus it can't hurt to ask.
