Isolated Systolic Hypertension in young male
I am 25 years old and I have been experiencing isolated systolic hypertension for the last 5 years. It averages about 145/80, gets as high as 155/80. Never has the diastolic been above 90. I have been on an ACE for 6 months, and HCTZ (12.5 mg twice daily) at a different time for 3 months. Neither have reduced my BP at all. I am very active, I work out everyday, I eat pretty well, tall and slender. I have some family history of Hypertension, but not isolated systolic HT.
Anybody know what could possibly be going on if the meds aren't helping?
