| Re: did I get infected with HIV?
Very, very, very little risk. I too thought I was infected, actually had symptoms, and went on the internet and did so much research on HIV. I took the test and was negative. Although I am not an expert and a test is the only way to be sure, there is something like a 1 in 500 to a 1 in 8000 chance of being infected with a person who is already HIV positive, depending upon factors. It is a very hard virus to catch, and unless you had an open wound or sore on your penis where the virus can get into the blood system, you probably have a better chance of getting hit by a car today than catching HIV from what you described. Not to mention, it is more difficult for a man to catch it from a woman than vice versa, so much that I read in a San Francisco medical journal, they have thought about not even having a category from men catching it from women. The chances of catching it from a "one night stand" are very, very remote. Take the test, get the negative and next time, just be more careful.
