Lymphocyte numbers

We all know that below 200 cd4 is usually where AIDS is diagnosed, but what are the normal ranges of total lymphocyte counts? I cannot find a good definition of what the normal adult range should be. What does it mean when you are on the low end of normal?

Re: Lymphocyte numbers

Normal lymphocite count in a full grown adult is between ( 1,500 to 1,100 ) per micro-liter of blood .
They can fluctuate for any variety of reasons .
I am hiv+ and also hepatitis-C for 15 years and my lymphocites are at 1,000 .
So if you feel you had some kind of questionable exposure you need to get tested ..........
That is the only way to know for sure .
In good health ............

Re: Lymphocyte numbers

SImilarly, I'm HIV+ have my latest lymphocytes reading was 1123. I have been HIV+ for 11 yrs and my t-cell count has never been above 200. Know that the 200 break-off point is based upon CDC standards and does not reflect the health of the patient. chris
