can a full blood count detect the HIV virus

Hi I Am New Here, And Need Some Advice. 3 Years Ago I Had An Hiv Test While Pregnant With My Daughter And It Came Back Neg. I Have Been With My New Partner Now For 2 And A Half Years And I Never Went With Anyone Else After My Baby Was Born, My Worry Is That He Had An Ex A Few Years Back Who Was A Cheater And I Am Worried About Hiv, I Have Been Having Full Blood Count Tests Done For A Pre-existing Condition And I Was Just Wondering If The Full Blood Test Can Detect The Virus?? Please Someone Advise As I Have Been Trying To Get An Answer To This And Getting Nowhere. I Don't Have Any Symptoms Or Anything Like That, I Am Just Really Worried, Hiv Is My One Fear In Life

Re: can a full blood count detect the HIV virus

I don't know for sure if the test you are having will show it or not, best thing to do is have a HIV test. That way you will know for sure and you can stop all the worry. Rest your mind, just have the test to know for sure. If you are postive it is not the end of the world, you will continue to live you life. If you are negative you know you are negative and can stop worring about it.

Sorry this is not the answer you were looking for, but it is the best thing to do.

Good Luck!!!

Ipsey's Friend is absolutely correct. A "full blood count" (CBC) does not test for HIV. You need to get tested for HIV in order to determine your status. chris
