Hello, 21 year old male here.

I'm posting because two days ago a friend and I were fooling around and there was some unprotected contact between our genitals. We didn't actually have sex, there was only a brief period of insertion (just the head for a few seconds), and a few minutes of rubbing of the penis against the exterior of the vagina.

Is there a great deal of risk here? This girl and I both belong to this activities club at college in Japan, we play volleyball and go camping and play frisbee in the club. It seems pretty wholesome and sweet, but of course I don't know this girl's history. Do you think this is something that I should talk to her about? If so, what questions do I ask? I figure maybe since we're in the same club, we could have a nice talk about it.

I know I'll have to wait the 13 weeks in order to actually do a test, but honestly, if there is a lot of risk here, that's gonna be a long 13 weeks...

I can't think that this is a major risk primarily because there was no real exchange of bodily fluids. First, with woman to man intercourse the virus is somewhat difficult to be transmitted. Second, you didn't ejaculate within her, therefore, if you were HIV+, then there would be little chance of transmission. I think you're cool...but a little risky. chris

Hi,

I'm still concerned about the situation. It's only been 4 days and I know I have to wait 13 weeks. How do I make it though all that time without going crazy?

Also, I'm thinking of talking to this girl to get a better idea of her history. How do I approach that? What kinds of things should I say?
