I understand that HIV can not be diagnosed by symptoms. But, yesterday I visited my doctor because of swollen glands in my neck. Immediately he asked about exposure to HIV and when was my last HIV test (2002). I was tested today and I'm am waiting for the results. Among other things I have reoccuring yeast infections and atypical cells were found in my latest pap smear. My last sexual experience was protected and was over 2 years ago. My question is, if these are "symptoms" would it take 2 years to show?
the symtoms hit different people different ways so the only way to know is thru a test the rest is all speculation.it could be possible you don't show any symtoms at all and be positive, so two years for any to appear could be possible.good luck and let us know how you make out. you will be ok no matter what happens.
